Multi-part Problems
In multi-part coding problems, the following appears to be the behavior of the tutor:

• When you press the "Check" button, only your code in those parts of the problem that are currently "open" get evaluated by the tutor. So, if part 3 depends on a procedure you defined in part 2, the tutor will only see that definition if you leave part 2 open when you "check".
• When you press the "Submit" button, your code in all parts of the problem is evaluated.

Okay when "Check" but error when "Submit"
You should be aware that on some problems, the test cases are generated randomly. So each time you check or when you submit, you may get some random test cases that were not previously seen. In addition, see note above on multi-part problems for another potential source of different behavior between check and submit.

"Next Problem" Button
When you are working on lecture exercises, be aware that the "next problem" button may skip an intervening set of lecture slides and take you right to the exercises for the next or later lecture part. The work-around is simply to be aware of this, so if the problem looks unfamiliar you may want to go "Back to Lec".
